Hike for Hospice

Light the Way banner

We are incredibly excited and grateful to invite our community to Barrie Family Hospice of Elgin’s first-ever Hike for Hospice on Saturday, June 6 at Waterworks Park.

This special morning is about so much more than a walk. It is a chance to come together in remembrance, connection, and compassion, to honour those we hold close in our hearts and to support families who rely on hospice care when they need it most.

Every step taken and every person who joins us helps ensure that compassionate end-of-life care remains available in Elgin County for all who need it. Whether you walk in memory of someone cherished, alongside loved ones, or simply to support your community, your presence will mean so much.

Join us as we walk together, remember together, and continue building a community where compassion leads the way.

Register today, we would be honoured to walk beside you.

Every day of hospice care happens because someone chose to help. Your generosity brings comfort, dignity, and peace to families when they need it most. Together, we are making room for life, even at life’s end.

You don’t have to navigate grief alone. 🤍 Our Grief & Bereavement Team is here with a full calendar of gentle, supportive programs to help you feel connected, understood, and cared for. 📅 Take a look and register by emailing Jenna (jenna.parsons@elginhospice.com) We’d be honoured to walk alongside you. The Ferguson family understands hospice care not in theory — but in real life. Their generosity helps ensure families have support, comfort, and compassion during some of life’s most difficult moments. We are grateful for community champions like them. 💙
